Outbound for Mac
Uninstall Outbound
Outbound removes itself: Settings › General › Remove Outbound takes out the network filter, its System Settings entry and the background agent, and can delete your data too.
Remove Outbound from the app
- Open Outbound and choose Settings › General.
- Under Remove Outbound, turn on Also delete rules, settings and connection history if you want them gone too. Export rules first if you may come back.
- Click Remove Outbound… and confirm. Approve an administrator prompt if macOS asks.
- Click Move Outbound to the Trash and Quit.
Your licence stays valid. To use it on another Mac, deactivate it first in Settings › Licence.
If the app will not open
- Open System Settings → Network → Filters. On some macOS versions, the panel is called VPN & Filters.
- Select Outbound. Turn the filter off, then remove its filter configuration.
- Quit Outbound and delete Outbound.app from Applications.
- If macOS says a restart is needed to finish removing the extension, restart and check once more.
If your Mac is managed
An MDM policy can restrict removal. Ask your administrator to remove the Outbound content-filter and system-extension policies. Do not disable System Integrity Protection to work around an organization policy.
