Minimum requirement versus tested results
A deployment target is not a test result. We do not currently claim compatibility testing for macOS 26 or 27, or for any particular VPN, Private Relay, SSH or Time Machine configuration.

Before changing macOS
- Back up your Mac and export your firewall rules.
- Read your firewall vendor’s release notes for the exact macOS build.
- Keep recovery instructions available offline.
- If a filter prevents connectivity, turn it off under System Settings → Network → Filters, or ask your MDM administrator.
Outbound v1 uses a content filter, not a DNS proxy. That architectural difference does not prove compatibility with another networking product.
See testing with a VPN or Private Relay and network recovery steps.
